Ringwood

Ringwood Park Motor Sport Complex

This facility was originally constructed by the Newcastle Motor Racing Club ( NMRC ) during 1999 > 2000 NMRC merged with the MG Car Club Newcastle Inc.

The Motor Sport Complex is located at Ringwood Park, 14 km north of Heatherbrae roundabout on the Pacific Highway, then turn left onto Italia Road and travel 550 m and turn left again. The complex features the original CAMS Registered, 500 metre bitumen sealed, Hillclimb Course, which was regularly enjoyed by Club members eager to challenge the 28.00 second record. The facility also serves as a venue for a round of the CAMS NSW Hillclimb Championship, plus an interclub Tri Challenge Championship with Tamworth and Kempsey Sporting Car Clubs.

Following an unsuccessful attempt to construct a racing circuit within the site, the MG Car Club sold a section of the complex to fund an extension to the existing hill climb circuit, the new addition increased the over length to 1.3 km.

The construction process was assisted by DADS Army, a group of dedicated members prepared to devote their time, to build the new extension.

The new design provided six new Track Layout’s, which provides various challenges for all competitors, in addition a custom designed timing system was introduced. See below for more information.

Ringwood Park also contains an extensive set of dirt khanacross tracks and a number of dirt motorkhana areas.
